Ömer Elmas is one of the founding partners of Elmas & Yeşiloğlu. He has substantial experience in the areas of domestic and international mergers and acquisitions, corporate and partnership restructurings, real estate joint ventures, investment fund formations, and restructurings matters. With more than 20 years experience in senior legal positions in the banking and finance at banking agencies, he has extensive knowledge and experience dealing with, and routinely counsels financial services clients and their boards on, bank and thrift operations, corporate structures and activities, lending and marketing practices, regulatory compliance, corporate governance issues, internal and external investigations, and enforcement matters. Since 2006, he has provided his clients with his knowledge and experience in the public and private sectors and his academic life and as a partner of Elmas & Yeşiloğlu.
Ömer Elmas focuses his practice on cross-border transactions, including multi-party ventures, fund formation and restructuring, real estate finance, and strategic M&A, and private equity deals in various industries. He advises clients on complex domestic and cross-border banking, finance, and M&A transactions, giving special attention to commercial, corporate, and employment law issues related to M&A and finance transactions and governance matters. He also represents clients in project finance, tax-exempt financing, infrastructure, and real estate development and public-private transactions. According to his clients, he crafts solutions that help them keep their focus on business management and development.
He has completed numerous acquisitions and dispositions for both private equity funds and strategic buyers in the banking and finance, real estate, financial industry, aviation, and energy in particular. His clients include strategic as well as international and domestic financial institutions, investment banks, banks, and investment companies.
Ömer focuses on representing clients in international arbitration and commercial litigation proceedings, helping clients resolve their disputes using a broad range of alternative dispute resolution processes.
